i haven't slept for the whole night and i'm not intending to, and i'm having a long day ahead of me, but from my past experience, i think two cups of coffees should be able to pull off. i don't know why i'm torturing myself like that. i think i'm now identified with poor sleep cycle. anyway, because i'm not functioning properly due to my lack of sleep (none for today and only 5 hours yesterday), i'm really feeling quite cranky now, and i read this and find it ridiculously funny. from the match report for liverpoolfc.tv: 59 mins : Pennant reacts to Bouma challenge...he has to be careful...Xabi comes and breaks things up. Well done Xabi so lols lah, if i knew their match report weren't serious ones, i'll be reading all of them, like how i'm reading fagger fanfics now, so addicted. anyway, i read this on the barca website, and it's quite lols too. Apart from the attendance, there were a series of other unusual occurrences at the match, which we detail below: - There were no fewer than 28 players in the Mission Hills Invitation XI, made up of the two biggest clubs in the city, Happy Valley and Kitchee. There were also two managers: Dejan Antonic ((Kitchee) and Loh Kai Wah (Happy Valley). - Like in Yokohama, the Catalan tourist board showed a video before the match that promoted Catalonia as a tourist destination. Ronaldinho, Xavi and Henry all invited viewers to the country, speaking both in English and their own languages. - The game was shown live on the stadium’s video scoreboards. All of the goals and highlights were replayed on the big screen. - There are a number of unusual rules in the stadium. Smoking is banned, even though it seems to be accepted in all of the local bars and restaurants, while fans are not allowed to either beat drums or feed the birds. - Representatives of both clubs and the organisers met before the game and posed for photos with the players. Vice president Ferran Soriano, who is representing the club in Hong Kong, was introduced as the ‘president’. it's really not so amusing as they described lor. anyway, let me update about my last few days in hong kong. first, we went to stalk barca players just for the convenient aspect, as it was right down the road. but i must praise ourselves for being great fans cause we prepared a a4 size waterproof poster for iniesta. and we actually waited in the rain for quite some time. so it's really cool, cause we had more autographs than stalking liverpool. got some new player, rijkaard and iniesta's autographs =) pity i didn't get xavi and shuai guy, and pity DECO LAST MINUTE WENT BACK TO BRAZIL CAUSE HIS WIFE GAVE BIRTH TO THE FOURTH CHILD. nonetheless, it's still fun, cause my sis and i made this poster saying guapo iniesta, meaning handsome iniesta. so we attracted the attention of this sports journalist who offered to help us bring our poster in to get his autograph and he conveniently used our poster to take a photo with him, but that doesn't matter a lot. i seem to have this thingy for meeting sports journalists. then we waved our poster at iniesta when the bus left, and he was so shy shy waving back to us, and victor valdes was at hte back laughing at him, and so was oleguer, so cute lah. then my sis and i got addicted to stalking, so we made like a even bigger iniesta poster and one for xavi and one of neeskens, the assistant coach. yea, we have a thing for assistant coach like the ever-so-lovely pako, assistant to rafa. anyway, we went to ocean park to see the new pandas. they were erm... more active than the old pandas, but i really couldn't say much since it's my first trip to ocean park, haha. and it was SO CROWDED that day, and it happened to be lele's birthday also, he has a similar name to mine. then we took the cable car ride. saw the dolphins, i really liked the dolphins and seals. and we played those games (yes, i'm so addicted to games) in the games stalls. we also saw the feeding of fishes, which was quite cute, i liked the turtle and the puffyfish/pufferfish or whatever, and some breed of fish looks kinder than the others. i was so tired cause i slept late night before, that i slept while waiting for the dolphin show. and it started raining and typhoon pubuk was nearing hk, so it was quite dots. and oh... the jellyfish section was quite spectacular. so because of the typhoon, i was stuck at home for a day, or more of i was too lazy to get out. the barcelona match was postponed and luckily i booked the tickets for the night flight. so i went to check in my luggage early this morning, and went to catch the barcelona match after that. it was well... not that exciting, compared to liverpool, i think cause the stadium was quite empty as the date was changed and many people had to work, and cause my seats were more of the stalk players seats compared to really watching the match, like i can't really see what's going on in the other side of hte field. but the photos are nicer. and these group of people in front of us were super noisy, swearing non stop, at hte players and stuff, which i find really disrespectful. so soon, after ronaldinho, henry, eto, iniesta... were substituted, we moved to the front role and i had a clear view of the new barcelona third keeper who will be now known as shaui guy. i took loads of photos of shuai guy, and he's really not that shuai, but in relation to the rest of hte barca team, you have to say he is. and it's funny how motta is so randomly famous in hong kong. and my sis and i wanted to pass something to iniesta, so we frantically waved it in front of the barca reporters, and they thought we wanted to take a photo instead =( but so sad, i was checking all the barca websties and we didn't appear on the news, haha, i'm so attract attention. but anyway, the match was relatively boring, but i'm really really impressed wtih eto'o. the way he twist and move is so elegant, he's not especially skillful, but he's got the engine to score goals as well as the flexibility to move pass defenders or make a good pass to another teammate to score. henry was well okay. ronaldinho had his moments, but too bad it was on the other side of hte field. iniesta made nice passes. shuai guy was a bit erm... dangerous. and zambrotta was like moving all the way to the attack instead of defending, which is also known as our favourite type of defending. dos santos impressed me quite a lot, and he's rather cute, nice goal he had, can't wait to see him feature more in the barca main team. oh... and i wanted to say that sharks and stingrays have the heheheh face, so cute lah. during hte feeding of hte fishes, the stingrays were so bitchy. they kept crowding and disturbing the erm... feeder? and then after they get thier food, they chew a bit and spit out, so annoying, but quite funny also. anyway, according to the schedule, the barca players rushed to the airport immediately after the match, or so i suppose, and so did i. but i walked all around the airport and didn't get to see them, so sad, was hoping to pass iniesta our gift for him, haha. after all the fun, i shall update about the downside of today, which is also the reason why i'm still not sleeping now. first, i got on a taxi to go home, the cab driver didn't help me move my luggage, which is also very heavy. so nevermind. then she was talking on the phone as though she's very agigtated and i was so scared, i thought she's going to do something weird. then after i reached home, i had to move the luggage myself, which is a lot cause i had to bring a lot of tea for my grandma's sister, and like a lot a lot of stuff. then my luggage fell and i tripped over it. then when i reached home, i realised there is a lot of debris in my toilet and in the groundfloor toilet. then i found dead cockcroaches in house. then i broke my water boiler which i only got for about a week, so i didn't have water until a while ago when i ordered macs breakfast together with water. then i was about to watch the liverpool against aston villa match, and i was like omg, espn is not showing it??? so i tried starsports, and super sports, and to my horror, ti's only nadal and boxing. then i was thinking, okay, maybe there are new sports channel (i feel quite smart to even think about it), then i switched to channel 25 and 26. then i was just sulking and complaining to my sis, and i was so filled with anger and despair as i was suffering from agger withdrawal symptom. then i started talking to xingyao, who finally gave me a gleam of hope (i'm so drama), and there's this new channel (which i'm not told of!), which is called football channel, ch 27. then i clicked to it and i saw liverpool, i'm so desperate. then i was finally less agitated, and i can't believe i missed 22 minutes of agger, and finnan. anyway, i'm so angry that the stupid referee gave a penalty to aston villa (though i secretly like aston villa for martin o'neil, we all do), it's not carra's fault lor, then he was so upset for hte rest of the match. but stevie's shot was real good, it's been quite some time when i was last impressed by him. so a win for liverpool, a good start for the season =) i think it's true that the team you support will be the first team you watch live, but hmm... i think maybe the definition is more flexible than it is, cause actually my first match is erm... fulham against portsmouth. i was just browsing through the porstmouth match, and it's really not so fun seeing sol campbell and david james in tv compared to live. anyway, i decided to forgive the football channel since they are showing barca tv too! haha, then i hope i can watch lots and lots and lots of barca toon. and also mutv and chelsea tv which is like okay lor. i can't believe school is starting soon and i was still chatting with surong, and we have total no idea what to do with teh notes and textbooks, which i guess and hope is not a rare thing for uni students. i'm going to get my maid in 5 hours time, hoorays! peace out~
2007-08-12 @ 6:25 a.m. 'If you had four Jamie Carraghers in your back four you wouldn't lose too many games, I can assure you of that much.' we all dream of a team of carraghers =) peace out~

@ i've been feeling so busy with so many things lately though the fact is that i'm actually doing nothing much. firstly, it was the bidding for courses for fass, real pain. staring at the computer seeing places filled up, squandering points in psychology when it turns out that i only needed 301 points for psych which was even less than last year, and paying just 1 point for my other 4 courses when i was so worried that i couldn't get it! so well, at least i got all my courses and a lot of money refunded. hope i like my courses and get nice tutorial slots and my ideal timetable which is especially planned for sunday and midweek matches =) anyway, i can't believe i have to go through this bidding horror again for the next few semesters. haha, but it's sort of cute when you see all the nus people suddenly online bidding, so funny. can't believe school is starting, and i'm still in hong kong now. ok, actually it's more of i can't believe school has started just that i chose not to go orientation as barca coming hk is more important (though i'm seriously upset that deco is not coming already! cause his wife just gave birth and he flew back to brazil =() but at least good news will be that gaby milito and marquez are coming! can't wait to see iniesta =D anyway, school has started for the ntu people, feel so funny lah. ok, then i'll blog about this really big incident, which is that my maid is SACKED. which is really quite a big deal since i don't recall my parents sacking maids, we always finish their contracts, so it means that she has really done something really shameless to get herself into such trouble and also us, like we can't live without a maid, and i wasn't the one who said this, my dad said this first. but it's really quite troublesome, since i don't happen to know how to use the washing machine and the water boiler (which was spoilt) and then no one is there to make my bed, erm... clear up the mess. ok, i think i could have been more hardworking to do my housework, but i really can't be bothered cause i'm so busy with bidding and everything, and it so happens that everything in the house seem to be breaking down. so well, at least my daddy came back and got them fixed, hurrays! i'm really addicted to listening to agadoo, haha, though it's really quite a nonsense song, but it's so 1980s and lols. anyway, speaking of which, i still haven't updated about the 2nd liverpool match that we watched. oh maybe the fulham vs hk club before that, it's so funny, cause mcbride scored, and healy scored too! haha, i think healy is quite an exciting prospect, but pity he ended up in fulham, i really don't like the way fulham plays, super boring. then the finals of the barclay's asian trophy, which erm... portsmouth won, but they sort of deserved it, since david james (who is also the man of hte match) was brilliant! really damn good, he was making great saves and everything, so the game ended up 0-0 and went on to penalties, 4-2 to portsmouth, james saved a few penalties, pity pepe didn't =( anyway, i have to say the match was quite badly played, and i think rafa didn't really field a team he is confident of winning, like fielding torres and stevie just for show, cause stevie was still not 100% and torres wasn't really match fit either, but well, i was quite excited to see them too, i mean more worth it. anyway, a really cute thing will be that i saw agger wearing 15 shorts, and i spent say 10% of my time staring at his shorts during the second half with my binoculars, cause he's no. 5, why is he wearing 15 shorts??? so fishy... haha, then i went to check crouch, and he was still wearing 15 shorts, somemore, ti's only the second half that agger was wearing 15 shorts, hmm... hmm... anyway, i'm so envious of hte fan who managed to get agger's boots, cause at the end of the game, the players started giving away their stuff to fans, like pepe threw his singlet, some jerseys, but agger gave his boots, so cute! argh... i wished i was on the first floor. anyway, i'll be near the tunnel for the barca match, lets hope barca comes out from my corner and not hte hk club. but i was quite glad that i think at least that sissoko felt better, cause the hk fans were really damn on cheering for him, and he did have a great game too. oh... and we saw the erm... guy who is ruling hong kong now, i don't know what the designation is, and the guy was blowing some air into this thingy called the pong bong stick, which is a thingy that people will hit together to make a loud clapping noise which is quite annoying at times, but it's so lols, the whole stadium was like lols. and we saw the guy who used to rule hk also, and everyone was like boo-ing him, so hk lah, but he's a liverpool fan, and i heard like a few yrs ago, when man u came, he refused to participate in their events, so that's quite aw... i feel sort of empty now that liverpool has left =( haha, and i don't read the forum as often and talk to the fans also. and now, watching matches from tv is really quite boring =X can't wait for barca match, (though deco is not playing.) and it's really cute, cause i was watching the port of rotterdam matches, and van bronckhorst is the captain of feyernoord now, so cute! speaking of which, i'm really angry that agger played quite badly that day. i mean not very badly, but not up to his standards, i hope he'll do better next match. anyway, i'm really amused by how this guy, called david martin, the third choice goalkeeper in liverpool is so funny, he sqaundered a lot of money in fotress (some electronics place), buying 5 bags of electronics. like he lives in some village like that, never seen electronics before =X and i really really really like the assistant manager (pako ayesteran) of liverpool, he rocks! and i seriously don't know why my sis and i like him so much, so lols. we're like going so crazy. anyway, hong kong is like getting cooler nowadays, cause it's raining. and i went to namco station to play today, so exciting lah. and i ate oysters today, so yummy, i really like that chilean restaurant my aunt took my sis and i to. haha, i think my family is so food-oriented, like whenever i said i feel like eating somethign, my aunts will have like a whole list of thingy telling me the places famous for the food i want. peace out~
2007-08-07 @ 4:07 a.m. so funny! go agger =) read this from wiki, Agadoo was a nonsense song recorded by the band Black Lace in 1984. It was a cover of a European 70's hit called Agadou. Agadoo peaked at number 2 in the UK singles chart and spent 30 weeks in the UK Top 75. The original song was played in a Derby [1] nightclub, 'Gossips', to which the bar staff made a dance. It proved so popular that when Black Lace performed at the club in 1981, they learnt the dance and recorded their own version. This was verified on Radio Derby in 2006. Black Lace also recorded an x-rated version of the song entitled "Have a Screw," but did not release this version as a single. The Australian satirical TV Show CNNNN ran a fake cross-promotion for "Agadoo: The Musical." They used the original music and nonsense lyrics and attempted to find some form of plot. Their story ran like this (not exact quote) "The story begins on the magical island of Agadoo, ruled over by King Agadoo XVI. King Agadoo has no sons, only his beautiful daughter, Princess Doo. However, Princess Doo rejects all offers of marriage from the island's inhabitants. One day, a ship lands on the island. Aboard the ship is the Prince Aga from far off lands. Aga and Doo fall in love with each other; however, on the eve of their wedding, Doo is kidnapped by the evil wizard, Aga-Boo. To rescue the Princess Doo, Aga must shake a pineapple tree. He succeeds, thus mortally wounding Aga-Boo, and Aga and Doo can be married." The song was parodied in "The Chicken Song" by the satirical television programme, Spitting Image. peace out~
